Chen`s Garden in Mountain Home

Soup was full of goodies, staff kept the bars full and clean. The fish was really good and the roast meat very tender.

It's a good place to eat at dinner time and from lunch until about 2:30 that's when it is fresh but a great place to really get your Buffet on. We love us some chin.

The staff greet you when you come in, seat you right away, and server is at your table almost immediately. They act like they are genuinely glad to see us. They have wonderful food with tons of choices. The restaurant is clean and nice atmosphere. Prices are reasonable too. I recommend eating here, often.

Good taste but the ingredients are dumbed down for American taste. No Chinese veggies, pea pods or mushrooms. Meat in the fried rice was cut way to big and was obviously just taken from other dishes. Not work fried coated and fried for other dishes.Menu order should be fresh and not taken from the all you can eat pile.

It's a typical Chinese buffet. The coconut chicken is great. I wasn't impressed with the Mongolian grill. There is a very limited selection for it. The rest of the foods were average. We went craving potstickers and they were below average. Sad to say the ones from the freezer section of the supermarket are better. Our choices there are really limited because we are kosher eaters. So I can't speak for the shellfish dishes and such. It's clean and the staff is polite. But my main issue was the obvious use of MSG. So even if I loved the food over all. I can not say go chow out often. Just not good for the brain. I got the worst of headaches each time we ate there.

Inconvenient tiny parking lot shared by multiple businesses full of tow warning signs. Every dish had the same overwhelming taste of old, stale oil. The eggrolls were burned. The young girl at the reception desk was quite rude. I asked for sauce packets and didnt get any. No napkins or utensils were in the bag. This was a waste of money as we threw most of it away. I do not recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I had the Friday night buffet. It was very fresh, hot and very good.

Everything tasted and looked fresh, the place was clean, pretty much everything you expect a menu wise from a Chinese buffet.

The food was greasy today the hot sour soup was not hot. We come here often and it's usually much better.The fish are too big for the small tanks you have them in. You must not be animal lovers or else you would feel sorry for them.

The 🍣 was awesome ; the soups were very good. Actually they needed more spice. The dumplings were cold and horrible ; super disappointed on that!! The general chicken and orange chicken were both cold and very crunchy?? Any other time we have come the food was off the chain; but today was embarrassing that we even came here. Very disappointed in the quality.

The food was better than I expected, very good. They also have a wide variety of cuisines, including American, Chinese and Japanese. Price isn't bad for all you get. I will be back.

Nastiest place to eat in the area. The Chinese are among the nastiest race of humans on the place of the earth, and this restaurant is no exception. The cook staff have been reported as being unsafe and the buffet is not well maintained. If you are looking to get violently sick, then this is the place you want to eat at.

This is the best Chinese buffet in mountain home!!! They have great service, great food, and lots of it. Plenty of different foods to choose from including multiple different kinds of sushi and you can even get fresh food made for you with your own eyes. I love their noodles, they're to die for. They have booths and tables and an ice cream machine. They also have quarter machines and a big fish tank

I have visited Chen's in the past and had good experiences, and good food. Unfortunately that was not my experience on 2/28. Myself, and 8 members of my family arrived at 8:25PM, and upon walking in the door to be seated heard one of the employees cursing, supposedly because we arrived a half hour before closing - strike one. The food on the buffet had been there a while, and yes closing time is 9, but the food was way below par - strike 2. But, what sealed the deal was at about 8:50PM the busboy stood by the server station and glared at us for the next ten minutes. He was joined by another young lady later, and It didn't sit well with any of us, so we wrapped it up and left - strike 3. I won't visit Chen's again.

Probably and I say probably the best Chinese food I've had in town, but the explosive diarrhea is definitely worth the risk to eat here. Warning: must be 15 minutes from a decent bathroom. But I would eat here again before starting any diet because it's the best colon detox in town.

I give this low rating because of food quality, got pot stickers, sweet and sour pork with fried rice and shrimp lo mein.It all had the same taste, every single dish, like burned oil, could not finish the meal it was so strong.This place has good local ratings,Will try again another time and repost if it's better.Every restaurant has bad days, maybe this was one for Chen's.On the upside restaurant was clean and staff friendly, convenient parking and very little wait time.From this one experience I cannot recommend this local restaurant at this time, but will try again soon.

Has everything you can like in Chinese food, go there for lunch or dinner you will not walk away hungry. Great service as well ,you won't wait long to be seated or for a drink refill. very good

Mountain Home Chen's Garden is awesome. They always have my steamed dumplings and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Food is kept hot, fresh and filled.

Our favorite go to place in town! Great selection and good prices. We have never been disappointed. Quite a nice variety of chicken, beef or shrimp items. Everything is delicious. Ice cream and other yummy desserts to end a great meal!!

Huge buffet. I cant name all the items they have on the steam trays. And apparently neither can they. Dont trust the labels , I'd give it a 50/50 shot of being correct as to what's actually in the pan. Furniture is in disrepair and seating can be kind of tight. Almost always has a sign up looking for help.over all it's a good Chinese restuarant but I'm not sure it's still the best one in town.

This is my husband's favorite place to eat...he could eat Chinese buffet everyday, especially here. Good food and lots of variety.

Pretty good selection of food for the price. Surprising how much food you can get in the Togo container. Love the fresh green beans and the broccoli beef has lots of broccoli in it plus a ton of other items to choose from...even fried chicken and also a large dessert bar. It's pretty clean but the booth seats are very uncomfortable and the tables need to be wiped down better but I'm picky. They keep the buffet tables stocked well and keep the food area clean which is nice. Great deal for lunch or dinner for a Chinese style buffet.

Good prices. Ask about the discounts when paying the bill. Look carefully at the buffet items frequently the signs do not match the item on the line. The carry out is very fast and portions are large..

Our first time trying Chen's Garden and it was Great! Service was wonderful too. We'll definitely be back! Added to our Favorite List for sure.

had a great time with friends with a dinner to remember a loved one. staff was very attentive and helpful and deeply appreciated having a private room.

If my family & I are looking for some place to celebrate or just to go out & eat - it's always Chen's we pick. My daughter stopped by for a visit last week. Chen's was where we went. Tasty food & a lovely variety to choose from!

Good food, friendly staff, great price. 2 adults with drinks $20.60 + tip = $25

Food is always decent. The waitresses ask for your drink when you're seated then don't pay any attention to you the rest of the time.
